Camp Montrose was a mix of open-space and wooded areas. There was an outdoor track for horseback riding as well as an indoor track as well. They also had a lake with sailboats, kayaks and pedal boats.
I remember more of the other campers by faces than by names, but one that I remember is Laurie. I also vaguely remember hanging out with a kid named Keith. My favorite memories are from boating on the lake and hanging out in the woods. I remember wrestling with other kids to show off for the girls (not that we had any idea why were doing that at 12 years old). The coolest thing to bring to camp was any kind of battery powered radio (FM was also important to have).
