Camp Montrose was a mix of open-space and wooded areas. There was an outdoor track for horseback riding as well as an indoor track as well. They also had a lake with sailboats, kayaks and pedal boats. I remember more of the other campers by faces than by names, but one that I remember is Laurie. Each summer is different from the last summer. I remember each summer by some quirky activity the staff thinks to insititute. Some of the quirkiness ends up caring over to the following year. Other events die out in August. It is usually a song or skit that is created and repeated each year. Like John Jacob or "Since you've been gone". I remember one great memory from camp concerning The Blob. I went to camp in Hume Lake, California. Lots of great water sports on the lake of course, kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing. Hume also had a large feeder-pond just upstream from the lake. It was in this pond where one could find... The Blob.Now, I'm not sure exactly what The Blob was...
